about

Many of us, for whatever reason, have a tendency to hog all the credit or all the blame. To keep myself in check, I recite the old adage - 'We either stand on the shoulders of giants or in the pits dug by other idiots.'
Well, I think that's how it goes. I certainly wouldn't want to take credit for coming up with that.

lyrics

What in the world can I call my own?
We’re in this together and we are alone
Every idea and every dream
Is a leaf that I caught as it drifted along down the stream

All I know is those tiny gods
Are with me
They keep me busy all the time

I never was a child of yours
You did what you could with the stuff in your drawers
Every word and every plan
Was a blossom or thorn that was caught in your hair as you swam

All I know is those tiny gods
Are with me
They keep me busy all the time

I’ll never know what’s in my head
When I tried to look, I nearly broke my neck
And I believed I was the first to the fight
Lighting a flame in the night so I could see what the darkness was like

All I know is those tiny gods
Are with me
They keep me busy all the time

Everything goes then it rains back down
I drink from a stream that flows around and around and around
These memories never live in the past
They live in the now and the irony is a pain in the ass
All I know is those tiny gods
Are with me
They keep me busy all the time
